167 reviews EF-Mount Lens/Full-Frame Format Aperture Range: f/4 to f/22 Four Aspherical Elements Air Sphere and Fluorine Coatings An advanced one-lens solution, the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM L-series zoom covering wide-angle to short-telephoto focal lengths and featuring a constant f/4 maximum aperture.
I would only recommend the RF 24-70 if you're a professional shooter. It's heavy and big, especially on the RP (it's more balanced on the larger bodied R6), and its ridiculously expensive. It has fantastic image quality, but Canon really did well with the RF 24-105 f4, and most people can't tell the difference between images created with the two. The Canon camera has a sensor of type APS-C, a smaller version compared to a Full Frame sensor, which means that your experienced Focal length will be multiplied by 1.6x. This lens has focal length: 24-105 mm. Since Canon EOS R7 does not have a Full Frame sensor the experience focal length you will experience will be: 38-168 mm. 1. The two shots with the baby and the little girl were shot with FF bodies. The 24-105 may work on portraits ( due to being up close) but there have been mixed reviews about using EF lenses on crop bodies. As someone said the 85mm range would be best for portraits on a crop. Kent. 6. It depends what you mean by "better". The Canon 24-105mm f/4 IS L has image stabilization of around 3 stops. The Canon 70-200mm f/4 L lens has no image stabilization but a similar f/4 aperture. If you are simply interested in hand-holdability then the 24-105mm is superior due to it's image stabilization feature. The definition of versatility, the Nikon F-mount 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM from Sigma is an Art-series zoom covering a useful wide-angle to short-telephoto range. Featuring a constant f/4 maximum aperture, this lens strikes an ideal balance between a portable form factor along with a bright enough design for working in available lighting conditions.
