Guild Wars 2 Discussion. Buying mastery points. It should be possible to use Spirit shards for buying mastery points, and toggle between mastery XP or shards after 80. Nobody thinks it's a big deal when Proof of Heroics are spent on hero points Missing out on other things they can be spent on is enough sacrifice.
But in reality there is no reason to start from zero after a long break. imo GW2 is an awful game to ''start fresh'' on. The experience across the board is just more fun without the limitations of levels/traits and activities you have access to, even if you go back to low level stuff. If it's the same as the other classes, you get 398 hero point for leveling. That's ~80 point to max a normal trait line + skills, assuming they are all bundled together and equal weight. (They probably aren't since Invocation doesn't have a legend tied to it). You could easily max 2-3 you like and have points left to start on Herald. If you boost a character to level 80 now, you have 80 Hero points to full up your skills ready and willing. If you then want to world complete, ie, go get all the in world Hero Points in central tyria (and HOT if you have it), you will then accrue enough Hero Points to almost walk into POF and almost go straight into the POF Class Specialisms. This is the difference between manually leveling
Add a Comment. QuietRock • 2 yr. ago. This is a response I made to someone else asking what to do now that they are level 80. Most of it should apply if you are looking for direction with PvE. • Start PoF story and get the Raptor. • Quit PoF story, start HoT story and get your glider.
the leveling process is slow, you could use the level 80 boost and go get skill points I mean unless you want to use the base class to level but the base class is a different playstyle then the elite ones anyway, but it's your choice to play how you want The base class can be fun before 80, it's just different, and before the level 80 HvKutUE. 419 54 390 29 333 231 338 400 347
