The Libertad mod contains a no-overheat option, completely removes it from every weapon (mounted guns included). It does unfortunately remove the neat-looking hot barrel effect though. There's a mod that reduces overheating speed somewhere on nexusmods or far cry modding discord server so just install that and enjoy.
